As some already know, Frank interrupted the trip to support his father after a back surgery. The doctor says that the surgery went well, but the pain is still immense. That’s why Frank decided to fly home so he can be there for his father and help with everthing that has to be organized now.
Before Frank’s plane left Denver last Tuesday, we rode six great mountainbike loops in Grand Junction, in Steamboat Springs and near Denver.
We really enjoyed to have riding buddys in Grand Junction. We love riding in GJ and it was great that Jeny & Mike showed us trails and loops we didn’t know before. Steamboat Springs was our next stop, which was unexpectedly super fun. Pobably we hit the two best trails that are out there (Grouse and Fish Creek Falls), but we have to say that we really liked the whole “Buffalo Pass” trail system a lot!
Die Heimat ruft
Wie einige bereits wissen, hat Frank den Trip unterbrochen, um seinem Vater nach einer Rücken-OP zu unterstützen. Die OP ist laut den Ärzten zwar gut verlaufen, aber die Schmerzen sind immer noch immens. Aus diesem Grund hat sich Frank entschieden zurück zu fliegen, um für seinen Vater da zu sein und um bei allem helfen zu können, was organisiert werden muss.
Bevor Frank’s Flugzeug am letzten Dienstag Denver verlassen hat, sind wir noch sechs großartige Mountainbike-Touren in Grand Junction, in Steamboat Springs und in der Nähe von Denver gefahren.
Es war genial, dass wir in Grand Junction von unseren Bike-Freunden, Jeny & Mike, neue Touren gezeigt bekommen haben. Von Steamboat Springs waren wir mehr als positiv überrascht. Der Ort ist zwar ziemlich touristisch, aber die Trails am Buffalo Pass haben uns sehr gut gefallen. Die “Fish Creek Falls” Tour gehört mit Sicherheit in die TOP 10 der alpinen USA-Touren.
